Island Pond is located in the Town of Brighton, Vermont within a region known as Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. A small and close-knit resident community of less than 1,000 people welcome visitors and seasonal residents to the charming village year-round. The community is set amidst the natural beauty of Island Pond Lake, the Clyde River and Bluff Mountain. Island Pond is a central hub to access the myriad recreational opportunities of the area to include sport fishing, hunting (many say the best in Vermont), swimming, hiking, biking, paddling, horseback riding, cross-country, downhill skiing, and, of course snowmobiling. Island Pond is, after all, known as the Snowmobile Capital of Vermont. Island Pond village, which features a collection of small stores, shops, restaurants and lodging offerings, is also just minutes from the Silvio O Conte National Wildlife Refuge and the internationally acclaimed Kingdom Trails. Island Pond is deeply connected to, and reflective of, the best that nature, and Vermont have to offer.
