Hop in the car and head west along Vermont Route 105.  After an hour you will arrive at Jay Peak Resort, the start of your day tour.

Location #1; Jay Peak Resort – The drive to Jay Peak will take you past rivers, lakes, communities and rolling Vermont farmlands.  It is both scenic and relaxing.  At the resort you could set aside some time to enjoy a round of golf, spend some time in the Pump House Waterpark, lace up some skates in the indoor Ice Haus, or, in winter months, enjoy the amazing ski and ride conditions.

Location #2; Jay Country Store – Take a moment at the Jay Country Store to enjoy the wonderful wood carvings and then go inside to explore all that this authentic Vermont country store has to offer!

Location #3; Newport, Vermont – Circle back east on Rte. 105 and enjoy the early afternoon in Newport, Vt.  Attractions here include the Northern Star Cruise ship (seasonal) that offers scenic cruises along Lake Memphremagog, visit the Northeast Kingdom Tasting Center, Newport Natural Café, the Pick & Shovel and be sure to take a walk or bike ride along the lakeside bike and walking path.  A Welcome Center is located in the heart of the city and they can help you to find more offerings to enjoy.

Location #4; Clyde River Recreation, West Charleston, Vt – Clyde River Recreation offers seasonal self-guided paddling tours along the Clyde River and Pensioner Pond.  All equipment is included and the waterway is quiet enough for even a beginner paddler.

Location #5; NorthWoods Stewardship Center, East Charleston, Vt – Be sure to check out the website for NorthWoods Stewardship Center to see their seasonal offerings and events.  In the winter they offer great Nordic ski trails and in the warmer months they have a full offering of camps, educational workshops and events.

Location #6; Island Pond, Vt – Return to Island Pond to enjoy all that the community has to offer!
